Alrighty everyone. I have, in the past, stated that I do not do custom orders, and you can feel free to submit your idea for a new colorway with the understanding that if I do happen to choose your idea for the next new thing, you're not getting credited and I don't owe you anything.
WELL THAT'S ABOUT TO CHANGE!!!!
Starting this month, patrons of all tiers will be able to submit to me their suggestion for a new colorway by way of emailing me directly at amber@mysticyarnworks.com with the following:
- A subject line of "COLORWAY POLL SUBMISSION"
- The name of your new colorway idea.
- An image containing your desired colors
- Your name as you would like it displayed
*This is how it should look* If it doesn't meet the submission format criteria, it's not going in the poll, so if you want your submission weeded out, please do things your own way and don't follow my instructions.
How this is going to work is this:
1. This is a bi-monthly poll-based contest, so submissions will open on the 1st of every odd-numbered month i.e. January, March, May, July, September, November.
2. Submissions will be CLOSED on the 15th of the following month, at which point the preliminary poll will be open to all patrons on tiers with voting privileges.
3. The top 3 colorway suggestions from the preliminary poll will be put to a final vote the following week.
4. The colorway suggestion with the most votes wins. The WINNER will receive a free skein of the new colorway on whatever base / yardage I offer, as well as have their name credited on the label of the first dye lot of the new colorway. All poll participants of all levels will be granted 5% off of the new colorway as a thank you for participating, in addition to whatever other discounts your tier of patronage affords you.
PLEASE NOTE:
Shopify's checkout format does not provide the ability to apply multiple discount codes, so this is something I am going to have to perform manually for each order, so rest assured, You will get your discounts, it will just take a second. It will be a great help if you include your patron email address and tier in the "special instructions" box, that way I won't have to go hunting down what discounts to give you because - and I do apologize for this - I do not actually have a photographic memory.
